The Club actively supports and encourages Archery for the Under 18s and because of that have been able to established a separate Club for the Juniors ever since the club was formed back in 1974.The Junior Club is one of the most successful ones within not only Cheshire but also in the Region. The Junior Club meets outside on Saturday mornings during the throughout the year, but over the Winter months the club hires St.Mary's Church Hall in Sandbach to shoot Indoors on a Saturday Afternoon on alternative weeks. When the Junior Club meets, Coaching is provided and several Club Competitions are run to encourage the Juniors to shoot in a friendly and competitive environment. At the same time they are also encouraged to join in the other numerous club activities and competitions. The Club has elected Avril Bourke as the Junior Representative and Safeguarding Officer to provide valuable input to the Club Committee and help run the Club.Avril, who is a very experienced Archer, who has been shooting for more years than she cares to remember has wealth of experience and knowledge to help the Junior members of the club to get the best out of the sport.Avril is a Level 2 coach and is assisted by two further Level 2 coaches Martin Bourke and John Lewis who together bring many years of experience of coaching Juniors. We have a number of Level 1 coaches to help ensure proper supervision of junior sessions. All Coaches have all been DBS checked and have attended Child Protection Awareness Courses as part of their Coach Licence. All these Coaches have to have their Licences and DBS renewed every 3 years..
